I am a paleoecologist who studies the ecological and evolutionary processes that structure biological communities. I want to know why animals live where they do. Why do they eat certain foods? What traits co-vary with diet? My research focuses on mammalian diet and the ways related ecological traits evolve across lineages. In my research, I use phylogenetic comparative methods, morphological studies, and stable isotope analysis to test hypotheses about the ecological links among extinct taxa and their environment. I am passionate about science communication, the outdoors, and diversity in the Sciences. I am currently a Visiting Lecturer at Salem State University.
